Acquisition Announcement

On behalf of Farmers Union Cooperative, I am pleased to announce the acquisition of Valley Ag of New Albin, IA. With this acquisition, Farmers Union Cooperative will take possession of the Agronomy assets, feed mill, grain facility, and offices alike. The final closing will be August 1st, 2023.
Farmers Union Cooperative continues to look for better ways to serve our patrons and advance their own operations into the future. We feel that this acquisition will help us in many of those ways. One being expanding our territory north and allowing for better lanes to products that we supply each day to our patrons. The team of people at Valley Ag are capable, precise, and diligent in their duties and we are excited to welcome them to our team.
Wayne Meyer (owner of Valley Ag) will be staying on to help see the transition through and continue to have the operation run at 100%. I am thankful for Wayne’s admiration for his company and choosing Farmers Union Cooperative to continue and advance all the exceptional achievements that he and his team have had over his many years. The entire Farmers Union Cooperative team and I look forward to working with Wayne into the future.
This is another step in the right direction of advancement and progression into the future for our cooperative and our patrons. We hope you all are as excited as we are about our next opportunity to serve our patrons.
